Walt Disney World Insider Tips
Our family recently took a long awaited vacation to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. We had a fabulous time thanks to our exhaustive research and planning. Sifting through hundreds of internet websites offering Walt Disney World insider tips was an overwhelming task. I spent weeks filtering out the important and helpful information and finally coming up with a plan for our dream vacation. Like most families today, we were on a tight budget with time restraints. Here are some things I learned along the way:
You absolutely must arrive early at the parks to avoid the long lines.
Be sure to research Walt Disney World insider tips to find out which days of the week are the busiest at each of the theme parks. Typically the beginning of the week is usually the busiest at Magic Kingdom. The weekends are also very busy at Magic Kingdom because a lot of local people visit the park at that time.
Epcot is a good place visit in the beginning of the week. But beware, you know what they say: “E.P.C.O.T. stands for Every Person Comes Out Tired!” It’s the largest of the parks and involves lots of walking.
Make a definite itinerary to follow for each day of your visit, then be flexible with that plan if necessary. Remember, you’re here for the FUN! Relax and go with the flow….
Sometimes the best source for Walt Disney World insider tips and secrets comes from friends and family who have visited the parks. Talk to everyone you know about your upcoming trip. It makes for exciting conversation – everyone loves to talk about their Disney vacation. A good friend of yours may just know a good friend that works at Disney and you could end up as a cast member’s guest with a complimentary pass. Hey…you never know.
If you can afford it, stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Transportation throughout the parks is included with your stay and you won’t need to worry about parking. You can plan your day to go back to your room for a much needed rest for a couple of hours during the afternoon.
There are also many nice hotels just outside the parks. Many offer free transportation to and from your hotel as well. There is lots of competition for your patronage out there today. My favorite Walt Disney World insider tip is to research credit card offers with points you can use for travel and hotels. There truly are some good deals to be had.
If you’re staying at a Walt Disney Resort Hotel and plan on eating most of your meals within Disney World, you should definitely go with the meal plan. This gives you quite a discount as opposed to paying as you go as the food within the parks is very expensive.
If you’re staying outside the Walt Disney World Resort, eat breakfast at your hotel or at one of the many inexpensive chain restaurants nearby. Either pack your lunch so you won’t need to buy it in the park, or just eat at a counter service restaurant. That way you are only eating one meal a day inside Disney World. Skip the sit down dinners inside the park if you’re trying to save money. Eat a late lunch then find a nice restaurant near your hotel for dinner.
Most importantly, learn all you can about the best Walt Disney World insider tips and secrets before you go. A well planned trip will be easier on the budget and things will go much more smoothly if you’ve done your homework.
This is a book you can download that was written by a former Walt Disney World employee. It compiles loads of Walt Disney World insider tips and secrets you can use to save money on your vacation. http://www.waltdisneyworldinsidertips.com
